Terms of Service
Effective November 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Cadenta POS ("Cadenta", "we", "us"), operated by Kaleb Harwell as a sole proprietorship in Texas, USA. They cover the Cadenta POS app, our cloud service, salons' online booking pages on cadenta.app, and the emails and text messages we send. By creating an account or using Cadenta you agree to them. If you book an appointment on a salon's page, the parts about bookings and messages apply to you.
1. The service
Cadenta is point-of-sale, calendar and booking software for salons. The app runs on your own computer and syncs with our cloud. Features depend on your plan. We improve Cadenta regularly and may change features, but we won't remove a core feature you pay for without notice.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your business. Keep your login and register PINs safe; you are responsible for activity under your account and on your registers.
- Give accurate business information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for your staff's use of Cadenta and for your dealings with your clients, including your prices, policies and services.
3. Plans, trials and billing
- Plans are priced per location, monthly or annually, as shown on cadentapos.com. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial; your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. You can change plans or cancel any time from the app; cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, or where we choose to make it right after a problem on our side. If you think you've been charged in error, email us within 30 days.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before changing your price.
- If a payment fails, we'll retry and remind you. After a grace period, registers switch to read-only until it's resolved: your records stay available and exportable.
4. Card payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe through your own Stripe account, under Stripe's terms, at Stripe's standard rates, which you pay to Stripe. Cadenta does not add a fee or take any part of your sales. Payouts, disputes and chargebacks are between you and Stripe. We are not a party to your payments and are not responsible for Stripe's service.
5. Online booking
Bookings made on a salon's page are agreements between the client and the salon. The salon sets its services, prices, hours, approval and cancellation policies. Times are held for a few minutes while a client books and are confirmed by email. Clients can change or cancel online until the salon's cutoff, and otherwise should contact the salon.
6. Appointment text messages
Program: Cadenta appointment reminders. Texts are sent from Cadenta's number on behalf of the salon named at the start of each message.
What you'll receive: a reminder before each appointment with a link to confirm, change or cancel it. Expect one message per appointment. We never send marketing texts.
How you agree: by ticking "Text me appointment reminders" on a salon's booking page, or by giving the salon your consent in person. Consent is not a condition of booking.
Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
To stop: reply STOP to any message. You'll get one confirmation and no further texts. To start again, reply START or ask the salon.
Help: reply HELP, or email hello@cadentapos.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle mobile numbers; we never share them for marketing.
Salons using Cadenta reminders must only turn on texts for clients who have agreed to them, and must honor requests to stop.
7. Your data
Your business records and client information belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide and support Cadenta, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data any time. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use your clients' information, and for their consent to the messages you send through Cadenta.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Cadenta to break the law, send spam or unwanted messages, sell products or services that are illegal, access another business's data, interfere with the service, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
9. Availability and backups
Cadenta is designed to keep working without internet and keeps daily backups on your computer, but no software is perfect. We aim for high availability of our cloud and booking pages but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. You are responsible for your computers, internet connection and hardware, and for keeping your own copies of important records.
10. Disclaimers
Cadenta is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cadenta is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Cadenta is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Cadenta and cancel any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or doesn't pay, after notice where reasonable. After an account ends, you can still export your data for 30 days.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We'll post changes here with a new effective date and email salon owners about significant ones; continuing to use Cadenta after they take effect means you accept them. Questions: hello@cadentapos.com.
