Why I built Cadenta

I grew up helping run my family's Italian restaurant, and today I work in hospitality IT. From both sides of the counter I've seen the same thing: small businesses renting their most important tool from companies that profit when they're stuck.

When the internet drops, the register stops. When they want to leave, their data stays behind. When they get paid, someone takes a cut. Cadenta is the system I wish we'd had: it keeps working when the internet doesn't, your data stays yours, and we never take a cut of your sales.

Questions

What happens when the internet goes down?

Checkout (cash), the calendar, client history and reports keep working on your computer. Everything syncs when the connection is back. Card payments need internet, as with every card reader.

What hardware do I need?

A Windows PC or Mac at the front desk, and a Stripe Reader S700 for cards. A receipt printer is optional.

Can I bring my client list?

Yes. Email us and we'll help you move your clients and products over.

Can I leave?

Any time. Export everything to spreadsheets from Settings. Your card payments are on your own Stripe account, so they're yours whatever you decide.
